JEREMIAH 1:5
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.
Before you were born I sanctified you
I ordained you a prophet to the nations.
- The Lord owns us! Definition of ownership: Ownership is the state or fact of exclusive rights and control over property, which may be any asset, including an object, land or real estate, intellectual property, or until the nineteenth century, human beings. Ownership involves multiple rights, collectively referred to as title, which may be separated and held by different parties.
- What does that mean? What are the implications, responsibilities, rewards and benefits?
1) He created us:
Psalm 139:13-16 NKJV: 13. For you formed my inward parts, you covered me in my mother’s womb. 14.I will praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are your works and that my soul knows very well. 15. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16.Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.
2) God owns us, because he paid the price for us!
Acts 20:28 Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.
3) Jesus has taken possession of us
Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
4) We are HIS new creation
2 Cor. 5:17 (read AMP, CEV) therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
5) We are sealed by the Holy Spirit!
Eph.: 1:13-14 13. In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14. who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

6) What are the Benefits?
You are loved
You are well taken care for
You are provided for Philippians 4:19 For my God shall supply all your needs according to his glory in Christ Jesus.
7) What are the implications and responsibilities?
- You are not to carry the weight of your own provision
Psalms 139:1-5 TPT: 5. you’ve gone into my future to prepare the way, and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past. You have laid your hand on me!
- All your needs are met in Christ Psalms 139:1-5 TPT
- You don’t live for yourself, but your assignment is all that matters
- You are soo loved! You are the most valuable expensive commodity in the universe / Heaven.
- Responsibility: your assignment, you are enlisted into God’s Army and you are therefore under the command of the Lord of Hosts! Joshua 5:13-14, in the same way He gave us the Great Commission! Mark 16:15-16
- Implications:
- you have become a sign & a wonder!
- You are a soldier, child, king, priest, heir 2 Tim 2:3-4 NKJV: You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4.no one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.
- You are family/friends: John 15:15
- You are an owner: Psalms 115:16 the highest heavens belong to the Lord, but the earth hath He given to the children of men.
- You look like God: 1:26 Let us make man in our own image…
You are known by God and you know God!

Who knew you? -> I the Lord
Where did He form you? In the womb
He knew me from before when He made me in the womb.
So He thought me out first, then choose the womb through which He would form my earth suite, then put me into the earth suite in my mothers womb and brought me forth.
- So I am the intellectual property of God, I am the production / product of God and I am His greatest achievement!
- Before = was born He sanctified me. Jesus was slain from the foundation of the earth. Rev. 13:8 that is when He sanctified me / cleansed me and set me apart for His use.
- Because He thought me out / made me before the foundation of the earth he also commissioned me and gave me my assignment!
So God owns me, does He own you?
