Ephesians 4:13
(NKJV) till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
LIVING WITH A PERSONAL GOD
- Dance with Him! - Dance like David did!
- Eat with Him! - The Father, Son and Holy Spirit will be eating /dining with you!
- Walk with Him! - Walk with Him like Enoch did
- Work with Him! - We are co-laborers with God
- Become like Him! - Jesus is our Ultimate Goal!
What is meant by Personal? Dictionary says: belonging to or affecting a particular person rather than anyone else.
We thank God for being a LIVING PERSONAL GOD!
- LIVING:
1) HE IS A LIVE! Eph. 3:20
20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
- He knows me by name
- He was tested like us and therefore familiar with our infirmities
- He is a loving God that is in love with us! So much that He gave all for us even till the death on the cross.
- God actively peruses us! What so ever is committed into His hands nobody can pluck them out!
- PERSONAL:
2) PERSONAL! Jeremiah 1:5, Psalm 139:1-4,13-14.
- Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5
- For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. Psalm 139:13
- Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. Psalm 139:16
- You have searched me, LORD, and you know me. Psalm 139:1
- You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. Psalm 139:2
- You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Psalm 139:3
- Before a word is on my tongue you, LORD, know it completely. Psalm 139:4
- I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalm 139:14
- GOD = GOVERNOR OVER DOMINIONS:
GOVERNOR: an official appointed to govern a town or region. administrator
Ruler, chief, leader, principal, head, premier
DOMINION: the territory of a sovereign or government. dependency
Colony, protectorate, territory, province, outpost
1 Chron. 29: 10-12 (This is our Governor Over Dominions)
“Blessed are You, Lord God of Israel, our Father, forever and ever.
11 Yours, O Lord, is the greatness,
The power and the glory,
The victory and the majesty;
For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours;
Yours is the kingdom, O Lord,
And You are exalted as head over all.
12 Both riches and honor come from You,
And You reign over all.
In Your hand is power and might;
In Your hand it is to make great
And to give strength to all.
Revelation 4:2-3
Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne. 3 [a]And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald.
2) DANCE WITH HIM! 2 Samuel 6:12-14,
2 Now it was told King David, saying, “The Lord has blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that belongs to him, because of the ark of God.” So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David with gladness. 13 And so it was, when those bearing the ark of the Lord had gone six paces, that he sacrificed oxen and fatted sheep. 14 Then David danced[g] before the Lord with all his might; and David was wearing a linen ephod. 15 So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouting and with the sound of the trumpet.
21 So David said to Michal, “It was before the Lord, who chose me instead of your father and all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord, over Israel. Therefore I will play music before the Lord. 22 And I will be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight. But as for the maidservants of whom you have spoken, by them I will be held in honor.”
Exodus 15:20-2120 Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took the timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances. 21 And Miriam answered them:
“Sing to the Lord,
For He has triumphed gloriously!
The horse and its rider
He has thrown into the sea!”
YOU WILL DANCE WITH AND BEFORE THE LORD IN VICTORY ALWAYS!
3) EAT WITH HIM! Revelation 3:20
20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
Eating with the Lord our God is personal and done daily. Only the living will eat! It is an act of dependency showing that we have Him Only as our source, we cannot do without food, we cannot do without Him!
Matthew 4: 1-4 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. 3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”
4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”
John 14: 23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.
YOU WILL EAT AND DINE WITH YOUR GOD ALWAYS, IN UNITY AND TRUST!
4) WALK WITH HIM! Genesis 5:21-24, 6:9-10
Gen. 5: 21 Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methuselah. 22 After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters. 23 So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. 24 And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.
Gen. 6: 9This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, [f]perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God. 10 And Noah begot three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Know you never walk alone!
5) WORK WITH HIM! John 5:17
But Jesus answered them, “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.”
Job 33:29 “Behold, God works all these things, Twice, in fact, three times with a man,
Psalm 66:1 Praise to God for His Awesome Works
Psalm 66:5 Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men.
John 14:10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.
6) BECOME LIKE HIM! Ephesians 4:13
(NKJV) till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
(AMPC) [That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.
(MSG) He handed out gifts of apostle, prophet, evangelist, and pastor-teacher to train Christ’s followers in skilled servant work, working within Christ’s body, the church, until we’re all moving rhythmically and easily with each other, efficient and graceful in response to God’s Son, fully mature adults, fully developed within and without, fully alive like Christ.
- You are a soldier/servant child, king, priest, heir 2 Tim 2:3-4 NKJV: You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4.no one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.
- You are family/friends: John 15:15
15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.
- You are an owner: Psalms 115:16 the highest heavens belong to the Lord, but the earth hath He given to the children of men. With Stuart ship mentality! 2 Corinthians 5:20 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
- You look like God, you become like Jesus: 1:26 Let us make man in our own image…, Gen. 1: 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. John 14: 12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father
We have seen that when we acknowledge GOD as our Personal God! We go through stages of development, revelation and understanding!
Through the process of dancing with Him, God has a rhythm which our lives need to follow, we eat with him, walk with Him and work with Him we build up an intimate relationship with him and get to know Him better and better! This all for the purpose that we become complete in Him which manifest when we Become Like Him!
You look like God, so act like it!:

- Our Father Lord and God, thank you for being a PERSONAL GOD for me!
- Our Father Lord and God, let me Eat, Walk, Work deeper with you!
- Lord help me to become more and more like you!
